What is an appraisal?
Harke Auctioneers & appraisers is a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America, Graduate Personal Property Appraiser, Certified Estate Specialist, certificates from the National Auctioneers Association. Our personal property appraisals meet the required standards of the, Universal Standards of Professional Appraisers Practices. USPAP. Judges and Courts respect these standards. Our Valuations are based on our constant activity in the auction industry, education, training and experiences in appraising. We follow government and industry guidelines in writing our reports. We format our reports to the highest of industry standards to provide you, with all of the answers to our appraisal needs. We provide “Expert Witness” for testimoney in a court of law or deposition for the court. We strictly adhere to confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Types of appraisals: Insurance, Charitable Contribution, Estate (probate or Tax Preparation), Liquidations, Bankruptcies, Division of assets and whenever a certified appraisal of value is needed. Each area of appraising has its own, rules and standards and it can be complex and stressful, and we approach each application with understanding and appreciation of your concerns. Certified Appraisals can be confusing, Fair Market Value, Replacement or Deprecation Cost, Orderly Liquidation Value, In Place Value, New or Used Replacement Value, Desktop Opinion or Review, Limited Appraisal; all appraisals should be prepared to face a court challenge. We want to help guide you through this process to determine what type of appraisal is required.
